Chair socks!

When we first moved in to this flat, the previous occupants hadn't used a dining table so the downstairs neighbour would frequently come up and complain about the noise of heavy wooden dining chairs being moved on laminate flooring.

Given laminate had been a selling point for us as it was supposed to be good for dust allergies we weren't about to out carpet down. Instead did the next best thing and made little carpet slippers for the chairs (see extras) but after 10 years they are wearing out and looking very sorry for themselves.

In those 10 years a market has been made for chair socks with padded bases so the chairs got a footwear upgrade today!
