The Hiawatha

This to me is a sad sight. I used to bump into this old Hebridean fellow with his westie on the canal towpath. Just over a year ago I was told that the dog had been put down, and that Jimmy was in hospital riddled with cancer. This, believe it or not, was the boat on which one man and his dog lived. With the onset of the pandemic I thought he was better out of it. The boat seemed to disappear, but I found it yesterday in a mooring. Maybe I should get some flowers to brighten it up.
