Deceptive wisdom

Having had a long deep sleep is nearly always the best way to start the day, however being woken by an exuberant Missy isn't the wake up call of choice lol.

It was a spectacularly changeable day weather wise. We drove through icy hail and torrential rain on the way into Kendal, emerged from the supermarket to bright blue skies and big fluffy clouds.

We sat in the car at High Dam eating our sandwiches whilst rain hammered on the van roof, but when it stopped we set off anyways.
By the time we reached the lower dam it was actually snowing (the high fells are lovely and white).
But.
As we wandered round the drama played out across the sky and the water and there were moments of wonderful.
And that's what defined the day.

ps - if you'd like to see teeny tiny beauty at the other end of the scale spectrum take a look at yesterday's wonderful little Brown Bonnet Lichen.
