Sacrifice

My pal and I popped into the park next door to the coffee shop in the City and sheltered from the rain under the canopy where the plaques are fixed up describing the heroic self sacrifices made to save others. It’s a charming memorial with a lot of fascinating stories. See the extra for more information. It was designed by George Watts who , among other things, erected the splendid giant sculpture in Kensington Gardens of a horse.  Called Physical Energy.

Then home through Shoreditch stopping off to see a Banksy. In between the showers this afternoon a walk through the park was achieved, so a good day.
