gap creek

We had a most enchanting ride in Chelsea, up river to Gap Creek. We can only go here when the water is fairly high . . . because it's just a little creek! But Chelsea is just the right boat for this. 

There are dragonflies, ducks, and we more or less followed this great blue heron as far as we could go! As we approached, he would take off to another spot up the creek. I am figuring out how to take bracketed photos to perhaps better catch birds in flight, and I had a good practice session. Very nice. The weather was sunny, but with a nice breeze on the river.
