Another day off! Matt went out for a coffee and walk with Bill, and I FaceTimed Ma for long distance Mother’s Day tea and biscuit(s).

In the afternoon we watched the rugby and I FaceTimed Pose for the first time in a while. There’s always a weirdly large amount for us to catch up on, despite lockdown nothingness. Family zoom in the evening, then leftover Chinese food.

Turns out the only photo I took all day was this at 2.51am, after I awoke from a dream about a bird sporadically squawking at me. Turns out the squawks were real, and coming from the smoke detector. I tried getting it down for about 10 minutes before eventually giving in and waking Matt up, who finally managed it (by slightly breaking it). The squawks continued even without the battery so we wrapped it in a blanket and covered it in cushions before going back to bed and failing to sleep for the next 2 hours.
