Rusty Love

This house on the way down from the castle has me intrigued; the top storey has been recently renovated, but the ground floor hasn't, and work seems to have stopped. There is a lot of renovation going on in Mourão, don't know if it's because it's one of the jobs that can carry on normally during lockdown.

As for the container, it's looking very at home on a bed of green grass at the bottom of our Lane, as the driver refused to come up the few metres that Mike has spent days clearing and widening for him, bit of a wimp if you ask me. Oh well, our great Vizinho (neighbour) has organised machinery to do it tomorrow. Must say, I'm pleased with its appearance, think it won't be too much of an eyesore.

Gratefuls:
- a special Zoom with Allegra's school to answer questions on the video we made of our house here; I did point out that this isn't generally how the Portuguese live! The teachers wanted to know if they could bring the sixty 4yr olds for a field trip; I said, Sure!
- Vizinho yanking up the olive tree that was making our entrance too narrow, with his digger, and with carefree abandon (we do have over 200 more)
- an hour's jaunt round three different villages on the other side of the Lake to deliver Easter baskets to the doorsteps of lonely expat friends, so lovely to see them (very quickly) and know they're OK, just fed up
