Towards Dunblane

Hottest day of the year – temperature 19C. Felt incredible to be going out walking just in a t-shirt. Lets hope it lasts.

Have seen several bumblebees and this morning I spotted two magpies collecting twigs for nest building in our holly.

The big event of the day is that we signed on for the FT three day Digital Festival.
My favourite historian and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari kicked off the day’s events. He has some pretty radical thoughts. Capitalism, he said, is built purely on stories we tell ourselves and trust. It obeys no external rules like chemistry or physics. And it’s only been in existence for two to three hundred years and there is no reason to believe it will continue. Oh yes he had plenty to say on robots and AI. They will be cleverer than us.

Makes you think.
