Old Photos Day 4. My grandparents. 1920.

Here are Fred Smith b 25th June 1891
And Caroline Smith (née Opie)
b18th November 1891.
Her father John Opie died in April 1906, (mentioned in previous few blips). He was 49 years old.
Her mother Ellen Opie died in March 1918 aged 59.
My grandparents were both 24 years old when they were married in July 1915.
This was all taking place with the background of WW1.
My grandfather Fred was an engineer so had a decent job. That is probably why he did not go to fight on the battle fields of Europe. He would be needed at home to support the war effort.
