Common Enchantments

Yellow Jessamine

or if you are from the south of the USA...yella jazmin!    This is the state flower of South Carolina.  It grows wild in the woods and probably could be grown on a trellis in the yard.   We have several spots where this is growing in our trees.  It vines and the flower only stays about a week.

Jerry decided he HAD to go to the hunt camp today to put out fertilizer on his crop of clover that he grows for the deer.   He can do this from the ATV as he has a spreader that attaches and by connecting to the  battery power of the ATV shoots the fertilizer out on the ground.   But I was not happy with him having to walk to the hiding place where he had left the ATV.    So I went up there with him to make sure he did not stumble on the uneven ground and going up and down a steep hill.

He walked 7/10 of a mile which was good but his knee was telling him it was too much.  Not really painful but the swelling was not good.  So when we got home he is sat with it surrounded by the ice packs.  I can see his patience is wearing thin on the healing process.   Today was one month since his knee replacement and I reminded him the doctor had told him it would be at least three months (or more) before he would not feel the affects of the surgery...like the swelling.     I need to find him a sitting down project!

After our violent storm that never happened  yesterday  we have had a cool day with mixed sunshine.  Very different from last week when it was warm enough to open the windows.   But that is March in South Carolina!

Have a good weekend, Blippers!
