Sea

I always like a 'gull against the waves shot'. Up at Marwick and walk over the cliff path on Marwick Head to Birsay palace. Like yesterday it was pretty grey with bands of mist/drizzle on the strong westerlies- terrible for camera lenses, binoculars etc. No auks on the cliffs, though I bet the guillemots and razorbills have been back. Often they appear and go again before settling on the cliffs to lay their eggs. There were only fulmars and kittiwakes up there, but the wind was so strong I didn't hang about.
