Ice Bits

Back to the Pilot's Harbour today because the wind was blowing fiercely from the NW, and like the 7 March we thought the waves may be spectacular.  They weren't so spectacular and there was less ice than there was two weeks ago, but there was still plenty churning around, and the whole small harbour was filled with a mass of ice bits.So that's today's blip.
The large grey block of transparent ice in the picture is about a meter and a half across. It's fresh water ice so it formed in the river and has floated and been blown the 10 km or so from the river to here.
The extra shows the small harbour filled with icy  bits, churning in the waves, making the "No Diving" notice look very redundant!
