Way Out

Absolutely wonderful to go to church again, on this fifth Sunday of Lent. Because we'd not been meeting at the beginning, Padre António put ashes on our heads on the way out of church - from the dust we came and to the dust we will return.

And then our weekly meal with Cecílio and Ermelinda. I did Brazilian today: avocado and prawns to begin; black beans, rice, chicken and farofa; and pineapple in the oven with rum, butter, black sugar and cinnamon for dessert, followed by goiabada with cheese.

Gratefuls:
- Julia and Tom's first wedding anniversary, what a roller coaster of a year it's been for them! So grateful to have Tom in our family.
- watching two of Sutton Baptist's Livestreams, and feeling grateful for all the work Deb (and others, of course) have put into them over this last year
- serious conversations with Paul about the use of human embryos in developing the vaccines
