Radiant Riches

Though it's growing in Portugal, this is French, or Spanish lavender (Lavandula Stoechas). Was thrilled to find mounds of it growing up near the castle, went up to catch it with the setting sun behind. Such beauty, and changing colour from rosy pink to purply blue as the light changed. This is the best lavender for essential oils, from the leaves, though, not the flowers. We've tried a couple of times to dig it up and plant in our garden, but without success so far.

Amazingly windy these days, and quite cold, down to 4°C tonight.

Gratefuls:
- Jaime, Leonor's Dad, working on our stone walls
- Mike getting two of the bases done for the container, which was his aim for the day
- a clean house, towels, clothing, and a start made on Sunday lunch
