Afternoon Outing

Been trying to get mum out for a wee while and today all the stars aligned.  Although I’m still not feeling 100%, still some dizziness but she’s not been out of Perth for who knows how long it was a necessity.  Sun was shining and we went to Glendoick Garden Centre for her to choose her plant for Breagha.  She chose a yellow Rose which will go in a container and the guy there gave good advice on best one.

Then we stopped at the Peacock Cafe for take away coffee and cake - both delicious.  Mum’s expression was caught mid swallow lol!  

This is the area where my grandpa grew up and where Mum stayed with her Dad’s brother Tom and family for 3 years after her dad recaptured her and gained custody from her mother way back in 1933.  We had a drive around the area with mum recounting memories of the past.  I think it did her good getting out and about.

She did text me later thanking us for a very enjoyable afternoon. She should sleep well tonight.

The highlight of today was LOD!!!  Although ‘CHIS’ ??? scratched our heads at that till we looked it up :)
