Architectural Features (MM374)

Another great mono Monday theme from the Blackheath blippers - this time Architectural Glimpses.   There are plenty of them on the tower of our village church so I have included a few here.

Silver Efexed into mono and with a selenium tone.
Much better seen in large

I'm half convinced those finials (the spiky bits on the corners) are a little too far OTT but clearly, someone else thought otherwise.  The 1794 on the weather vane is from the time of one of the major remodelling sessions, although the Victorians came along later and decided the building was generally just not gothic enough and was in dire need of some desperately uncomfortable pews. Just below and to the right of the clock face, you might see the gnomon of the earlier sundial, easier to see in the colour extra.  There are Jackdaws nesting just below there too.  The clock is currently causing my neighbour some issues.  The original mechanism is more or less ok, and shows the correct time today, but the 1980s electro mechanical winding widgets are becoming unreliable and tend to go off plan at random times.

Thanks to everyone who has visited my journal recently - all much appreciated even if I'm not able to reply to everyone.

Thanks to Pelorous Jack for hosting this week.
