Burradoo Journal

Wet, wetter, wettest

We are very lucky not to be experiencing the dreadful floods that are happening further north and around western Sydney. This morning, after three days penned up, we ventured out to walk. Walking in soft romantic rain is one thing. Walking in a steady downpour is less attractive, but we survived, keeping to the hard surfaces. There are muddy brown rivers along the sides of every road, and everywhere the sound of water dripping and rushing and gurgling in the drains.

This afternoon the rain has eased, and they say the sun will shine tomorrow.
