Down the Street, Left Down the Alley

This was a house I hadn't seen before. The wife pointed it out as we walked this evening. Again, the alleys give a different perspective. Best to try it while the sun is out, though.

This yellow house has decor, front and back, that makes it worth stopping and looking. Framed art on the outside of a house is not something I think about terribly often, but it's something that works here in the neighborhood.

At the end of our alley-stroll, we grabbed some take-out from a place that no one was sure would survive lockdown, but it did, to everyone's pleasure, and it is thriving.

The rain began in the early evening, and now, as sleepytime draws nigh, our windows are open and the smells and sounds of a true urban spring rain fill the house. Red wine accompanies it for me and this is real contentment.
