Cowslips

Today’s picture is of some of the Cowslips in one of our borders. I have some red ones somewhere, but maybe they have not survived the winter.
 
I have included a Snowdrop as an extra. This is one of the forty or so bulbs that I planted this year in one of my front tubs. They were planted late and often do not flower the first year they are planted; this one did.
 
The temperature at GMT noon was eleven degrees Celsius. Dull and overcast for most of the day, no sunshine.
