Triptych 3

It appears that the origins of this graffiti go back approximately 40 years when one poor soul began to believe that their employers were making mind-reading equipment. Since then the original graffiti has faded, been restored, been cleaned off, been replaced and is now part of local heritage/folklore to the point that in 1987 a local garage band named themselves The Mindreader$ and released an album called “Ban the Mindreader”.

I didn't know any of this when I began posting these, but Arachne did some research and I did a little bit more. I feel sad for the person who was presumably losing their grip on reality, and heartened by the fact that locals have championed it in a similar way to the Welsh graffiti that will live forever - Cofiwch Dryweryn.
I would be very happy to see this properly restored to its original large white even capitals.

Look what freespiral made me do!
