Poetry And Power

On This Day In History
1911: Triangle Shirtwaist fire kills 146 in New York City

Quote Of The Day
"The city was the acme of efficiency, but it made demands of the inhabitants. It asked them to live in a tight routine and order their lives under a strict and scientific control."
(Isaac Asimov)

Breathing In Fumes

Ran 22km in the rain this morning so, with a wet afternoon in prospect, I did the Warriors painting I've been planning to do. As you can probably tell from the sunshine streaming through the window, the weather cleared up. Never mind, I enjoyed doing the painting. Thank you to A for taking the photograph. The painting will probably be my blip tomorrow.
