The new for the old

What a brilliant warm day for once! The Red Kite was enjoying itself on the air thermals way up above in the blue sky. No Buzzards to day.

N and T were busy with the field drains so I took Tess off for a walk across the farm. Carried a stick and mobile phone and resisted climbing over the stiles! On the way back I noticed the SSDC had pulled out the old stile and plank in a hedge and replaced it with a gate and a "motorway" and there was still a steep drop down. They have done the same in the fence near our house. The idea is to enable disabled people to travel the footpaths. I shall miss the old stiles.

The vicar dropped by for a cup of tea to check up on my progress with the hip and another friend arrived at the same time whose wife has Alzheimers really badly. Dear A was sitting in the car and wouldn't come in, a shadow of her former self.
