On This Day In History
1912: Japanese cherry trees planted along the Potomac

Quote Of The Day
"Courtesies of a small and trivial character are the ones which strike deepest in the grateful and appreciating heart."
(Henry Clay)

A beautiful day for a hike to the top of Mount Rokko and then down into Takarazuka. Six hours in total; wonderful.

The main photo was taken at the top of Mount Rokko overlooking Kobe, Nishinomiya and Osaka. The extras are of a small shrine in Takarazuka and of a fire that I could see burning in distant Osaka. It turned out to be wooden pallets and cardboard boxes burning in a factory.
