Squally

A 'bitty' but busy day, and I managed to tick off most of the remaining items on this week's 'to do' list.

Slight panic this morning as I waded through old emails to discover that one I was about to discard concerned re-booking a concert. Originally booked tickets for two friends as well as  MrM and myself for May last year, and tickets for the re-scheduled concert at a different venue next year went on sale 2 days ago. Hasty phone call to the friends to confirm they still wanted to go, then a stressful hour on the internet booking tickets. Success, but not sure how I feel about being in a confined space with lots of people! Now awaiting a substantial refund from the original venue.

Joined MrM on a late afternoon walk on the Humbleton round. A shorter route than normal as we cut up through the woods on the Common, and we went the opposite way round than usual. Cold and windy, and as we walked down the track to Humbleton village we watched squally showers racing across Glendale. The supermarket order arrived not long after we got back, and the driver was saying that we were lucky to miss the showers - apparently they were mostly horizontal hail and he hadn't enjoyed driving through them!
