Tale of two walks

Both slept well, hubs struggling with his breathing and weakness in his legs....as a consequence of the radiotherapy and steroids, nothing unexpected, but its frustrating for him!
Usual morning stuff, followed by the usual elevenses. Hub called youngest son to put in his sweetie order prior to their window visit later this afternoon ;-) I left for my first walk, where I encountered this lovely pink blossom tree against the blue skies....just a brisk 30 minutes, clocked up the first chunk of steps. DiL messaged to see if I needed anything, just a couple of bits which saved me having to call in the shop on my way back to the car.

Hub was sat in the car, with the sun shining in through the window, so he was quite content.
We decided on a little drive before heading home, we thought about a window visit with daughter but she wasnt at home. By the time we were on our way home, we were feeling quite hungry so decided on fish n chips for lunch. Very nice as usual......I put the finishing touches to the quiz we have been preparing for next Tuesday, just as son and DiL arrived, with shopping, sweeties for hub and a lovely Easter Egg for me.....cant remember the last time I had an easter egg :-) We all had a window natter via our phones on loud speaker, so hub could stay sat down......wont be too much longer before we can have garden visitors :-) hub doesnt have to shield after 31st, according to his letter today :-) Son & DiL left us and went on to daughters, to drop off easter eggs for all the girls and have a catch up.

I made hub a toasted fruit pancake, before leaving him, again, as he said :-/ to finish off todays steps......a real contrast to this mornings walk, much cooller, windier and overcast, although there was just this glimpse of sunlight as it was starting to get dark around 6.30pm....wont be like that tomorrow night though :-D Dont forget to change your clocks folks!!!

Todays steps just eeked over the target, but its enough, see extra ;-) This is the link to my fundraising page if you feel inclined.

Only 4 days walking left, I have already passed the required 310,000 steps (@315,000) for the whole of March, but of course I shall keep on clocking them up until the last day!

A quick easy light snack for tea tonight, hub fancied a cheese & ham toastie whilst I had halloumi and tomatoes on toast. We are both enjoying another little tipple tonight, just the one mind.

We are watching the Match play Golf at the moment, not a lot else on tonight!

Hubs letter arrived for his rearranged CTscan, this morning, its on Monday at 3.30 ......so we are off again! Hes not impressed, but Im quietly pleased as it will give his consultant a chance to check things...... hopefully we won't hear from her before the next planned consultation in two weeks time, fingers crossed!
