Setting up home

Why would you build a house here? Mrs Blackbird has no sense - building her nest in the pyracantha hedge so close to a setters nose. Mr PC rode to the rescue again and erected some trellis to protect her nest.

A trip to my favourites place today - the garden centre - we were looking for some more hedging plants so we bought 10 to start us off. 

Treated ourselves to a cup of hot chocolate and shared a pork pie from the van in the car park.

Back home the plants are soaking ready for planting tomorrow and Mr PC gave the lawn its first cut.

Saturday seems to have turned into a bread baking day, today it was a Walnut and cranberry sourdough,  pretty delicious even if I say so myself, lovely crisp crust.. Thank you Shortie Breadie.
