Carolina Chickadee

These little characters rarely stand still long enough for me to get a decent shot of them, so I was very pleased when this one posed for several shots this morning.

And then the next thing that happened was a visit from a song sparrow, which was a surprisingly rare event for me. I know they're around - but they almost never come in for birdseed. Either that, or I fail to notice them amongst the white-throated sparrows... So the extra is the song sparrow.
