Central Station's Mosaic

Just inside the Hope Street entrance to Central Station is this mosaic.

This commerative  26 metre mosaic wall was sculpted in 1989 to celebrate Glasgow's Year as Cultural Capial of Europe in 1990.

This is the right hand panel and represents an Intercity train crossing the River Clyde and arriving at Central Station at sunset.

Good to be back at church today and meeting with friends I haven't seen for months.  It was the noise of human voices at the end of the service that was just wonderful. When you live alone the only noise comes from the radio or TV so it was so good to hear the buzz of chattering voices again.
