As one door closes....

.....another one opens. The Korean Restaurant that we have been going to regularly has sadly closed its doors. We will miss the staff there, especially the young lady who was the manager. She was always very friendly and helpful, and loved to talk to us, often using translator on her phone. She very quickly found another job as a courier from another shopping entertainment area to a close by suburb, at night, so basically a Grab or Uber Delivery girl. We have asked another restaurant owner to keep her ears open for a better position for our friend. However, this also meant that we needed an alternative regular haunt and a Middle Eastern style restaurant has come to our rescue. It is a vegetarian restaurant serving a variety of Hummus options, salads and a wonderful dish called shakshuka. The shakshuka is served in cooking pot with flaming coals underneath, you have to wait for about five minutes for the flames to go out. They also have the nicest falafels I have ever tasted. Normally I find them far to dry, but the falafels here are so moist, with plenty of herbs. We have been a few times now and are getting to know the staff. Sadly for this restaurant the lack of visitors to Chiang Mai is keeping them very quiet. My extra is of the Shakshuka.
