Silver Jubilee Bridge behind the Railway Bridge

View over the sands at low tide - well I say sands - wouldn't try building any sand castles in it!

The bridge in the front is the old Victorian bridge for the railway - it was renamed the Ethelfleda Bridge some time ago
The green steel bridge behind it is the Silver Jubilee bridge - the old Runcorn-Widnes road bridge. It has been closed for about 3 years and has just re-opened.
It now has the honour of being the first bridge in the country to be converted from free to being tolled - so now it costs £2 to drive over it.
Luckily I live here so they don't charge me if I lob them £10 a year to pay for the 'admin' to maintain the system and it applies to the new bridge as well.
