A day in the life

Irrigation

I've used the word "spring" a few times in blip already but I think I can say that today has been the first spring day with the right feel and timing. About now is the time spring arrives, we always have days of mild and unusually high temperatures early in the year but it always feel like something is missing. Birds and green shimmer for instance. The extra gives you a hint of what we've been through.

The tubes for the irrigation system has almost been taken over by the bushes but so far there is enough water in the soil. In a couple of months though, it's time to cut the branches and put them to work. They lie beneath The Pond, along my walk and they mark the very reason to create a pond in the first place. In summer there is very little rain falling so most farmers has built a pond of their own to make it through the summer.
