Antelope Island

<back blip>

Today I visited Hill Aerospace Museum with my uncle. He is immensely knowledgeable about aircraft, and was able to guide me round the collection of US aircraft from a wright flyer up to a SR-71 Blackbird. I love looking at machinery, and aircraft come in so many shapes and sizes with different highly specialised functions I love trying to fathom out how they ended up the way they did!

Afterward we drove across the causeway to Antelope Island, an island reserve in the Great Salt Lake. We managed to find some Bison to look at (the main attraction) and the view back across the lake to the mountains was spectacular.

By the time we were heading back across the causway we could see lightning going off in the distance and the heavy rainclouds were filling the valley... I couldn't resist a shot looking back at Antelope Island with the glowering clouds and reflection in the still waters...

When we got back there was a big family gathering for dinner. It was a fantastic evening and it was great to spend time with so many members of my family that I haven't seen in years !
