Peace

A benchmark. First 3 mile walk done without a coat.

We live in a lovely place.
This is the first week in which people are allowed to travel further than just local for their pleasure and exercise.
Last weekend two national newspapers gave list of good places to go for a day out. High up on their lists was Arnside. As a result I am told it was rather chaotic on the promenade.
One can hardly blame people. Living in a flat in a town with children and no garden, it is surprising that families have followed the rules as well as they have. So we have to welcome them so long as they take their litterhome.

Luckily those of us who live here know how to find peace. In my 90 minute walk I met only two people, one of them a friend.
It was a real joy.
