Starburst Effect

Temperature topped out at 89 degrees in the backyard, a proper early summer day to put your feet up and stare at everything growing and greening. Unseasonably warm, as they say. All the potted plants needed watering. We will probably have to go back to saving laundry water soon if this keeps up. But the colors are terrific: purple and orange are the best combo, lilacs and poppies and wisteria and nasturtiums, and the roses all poised to burst open, oh my.

These leaves look like those weird  little highlights that some camera manufacturers seem to think look charming scattered all over your images.
