When l went up the high street l noticed that the bike shop has now been painted bright, bright pink and renamed Emmanuel. It has become a Persian cake shop! One of the things l love about living in London is the vast array of people who settle here from all over the world bringing with them their culture, foods, clothing and generally ever slightly different outlook on life. I am proud to be part of a city that welcomes newcomers - including me at one time.
No, l did not buy a cake, l did buy something which has yet to be processed - tomorrow.

Yesterday the grass in the park was cut for the first time, every little boy was out to watch the cutter behind a large tractor going up and down, the smell of newly cut grass is a wonderful one.
