Flower (Good) Friday

I had another full day. This evening I was working in the front garden digging out the long grass runners invading the flower beds. I blipped some of the flowers sprinkled around. It gets dark about 7pm but with the change to Daylight Savings Winter time this weekend it will soon be dark at 6.

This rose is Princess Alexandra of Kent. The real Princess must be getting old these days.

Our friend was going to join us for dinner but wasn’t feeling  well so we have postponed our meal until tomorrow evening. He gave me a family heirloom a few months ago ( a glass dish....he said to make him a trifle in it) so guess what we are having for dessert? His mother in law carried the dish out from Poland. It is heavy crystal and very pretty.

Our daughter had a Covid Vaccination (AZ) yesterday. She works at the hospital and is the first person I know of here to receive a jab. The roll out is going slowly and everyone is blaming everyone else for the delays.
