James and Isey

This evening we attended the World Premiere of a film/documentary called James and Isey, where the audience is invited into their lives in the week leading up to Isey’s 100th birthday. The premiere took place on Isey’s 102nd birthday.  According to the synopsis, it is a Northland celebration of life and aroma (love) like no other.  It was certainly interesting and a gentle look at the relationship between mother and son. The premier was held in the wonderful Civic Theatre - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civic_Theatre_(Auckland).  The extra shows James and Isey on stage after the premiere, sitting in front of a larger-than-life photo of Isey.
