Splitting Hares

The timid hares throw daylight fears away
On the lane's road to dust and dance and play,
Then dabble in the grain by naught deterred

Being pedantic, the time for Mad March Hares has just passed, but this boxing pair of crazies have not quite finished their sport yet. Almost complete, they are the brand new artistic ‘corn dolly’ adornment currently being fixed onto the ridge of a beautifully re-thatched cottage on Tabley Road in Knutsford. Over the top of course, but just what is needed to warm the heart and welcome-in the Spring.
