Lady Godiva

Lady Godiva, was an noblewoman who, according to a legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry in order to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation imposed by her husband on his tenants.

And this is the boys and I in front of the Lady Godiva statue in Coventry :-).

We woke early, but had a lazy morning in the hotel and at about 10 am, we drove to the center of Coventry to see the Coventry Cathedral and the Holy Trinity Church. Both churches were beautiful. Helle liked the Holy Trinity best as it was more traditional, but I was really wow'ed by the mix of new and old in the Cathedral.

We took the boys for a walk in the city and they have also been for a run in a big field not too far from the hotel. We have had a really good day.

Now we are back in the hotel to make sure that Hero get some sleep. He can't be too tired from all the new experiences on Saturday. Helle is reading a good detective story and I think I will find my school books.

Have a good day.
