The old Holly

This variegated Holly tree is on my grandparents property. It has always been one of my favorite trees as I used the greens in Christmas arrangements. One side of the tree has died. The other has deadly damage and will not survive but I can not bring myself to cut it down so I will wait until it falls. I'm sure my wait will be a short one. Lawn clean up there today. Gum ball removal mostly but we did mow some of the tall grass. There is more to do as the work is never done. Feeling a lot of muscles that did not get a good workout this winter.
