Flying Toward Spring

I did it -- or rather, I didn't do it. I intentionally did not blip yesterday (March 5), as it was a very dark and dreary day, spent at home, and paperwork is not very photogenic.

Today I couldn't resist a photo safari in the back yard/garden, despite the light rain falling. Looking for interesting subjects there made it clear that I need to return with my pruning shears, as spring is coming on quickly!

This blueberry bud reminded me of a (one-winged) bird in flight and was my favorite of the 100 or so images I took.

(I encourage you to take a look at my local friend CelloNerd's blip today, particularly if you're interested in Bellingham and the Pacific Northwest, thoughtful writing, and interesting photos.)
