Day 4 of the Aphabet Challenge - C - Cadgwith

So, I'd heard of the Cadgwith Singers as they have performed at The Castle Inn several times, but I had no idea where Cadwith actually was...so we went!

Cadgwith is a small village and fishing port found on the Lizard Peninsula between The Lizard and Coverack.

The village is full of small cottages with thatched roofs. The 2 beaches are stony and the fishing boats are landed straight onto the beach and winched up with a series of pullys.

The pub we stopped off for lunch at was The Cadwith Cove which had 2 small bars, one of which with an open fire. It was really cosy and we could of wasted away the whole afternoon there. We had Fish, chips & mushy peas for lunch, which turned out to be mullet. After lunch we had a wander on the beach up up to The Todden.

After leaving Cadwith we stopped off at Kynance Cove on the way home.

Another lovely day out.
