Tree

I mentioned yesterday that, perhaps because of the increasing amounts of time we are spending walking around our local area, I am noticing the blossom more. I am also noticing the trees. Isn’t this one amazing?

It was a quiet bank holiday afternoon. Quite late in the day - after the bizarre snow flurry in the morning - we decided to go for a walk.  The sky was clear and blue, the sun was out and it wasn’t too cold - especially as we were moving.  It was a really relaxing afternoon’s stroll onto Wimbledon Common and in a loop that meant the return journey passed through Wimbledon Village.  Although there were people on the common we had many of the paths and walkways through the trees to ourselves. There was no rush and we were out for almost 2 hours and covered 5 and a half miles. A very pleasant way to spend the day.
