Pansies

I am not a big fan of pansies, but they seem to find their way into our garden tubs every year. The flowers to me always look a bit like the faces of dogs. I have heard someone else say they are like the faces of children. Perhaps it is this face-like quality that gives them their enduring and endearing appeal.
