A Closer View

Out this morning in the sunshine (and the cold wind) with eldest grandaughter for a photo challenge. We had 3 themes - sea, colour and abstract. She was full of enthusiasm, so a big disappointment when after 4 photos her battery went flat. Anyway, a lesson learnt and still plenty of enthusiasm to go again. This was one of mine, inspired by the infectious enthusiasm of youth! The focus here is very much on what is close to the camera, without the distraction of the wider view. The grey slabs are local stone. It can be found quite widely here in plymouth, in the construction of walls and buildings. It can make parts of the city seem very grey on dull, overcast, winter days, but here in the sunshine it looks quite attractive.
