Head on a Lamp Post

The South West Peninsula Coast path follows the Plymouth Waterfront for about 10 miles. A section of this distance passes through an industrial, dockside area. It's busy, untidy and noisy, and can feel a bit intimidating, which perhaps is why a lot of people walking the coast path avoid it. I find it quite fascinating. There are several interesting features to see along the way, including this curiosity. You would think it would be hard to miss, but I have walked past it a couple of times without noticing it - so much for my observational skills!
