The 0830 to Paddington after the snow

I pulled open the bedroom curtains to find this snowy landscape. I went to my study and poked a camera out of the window. After taking a picture I heard bthe sound of the train sounding its horn, obligatory here where we have several footpath crossings over the tracks.

This was the 0830 to Paddington service after passing Bowbridge crossing, and nearing Ham Mill crossing. These crossings were the sites of former halts where the old local single carriage trains between Chalford and Gloucester would pick up passengers. That type of service ended in the 1960s and the trains became long distance only. This train will be in London in about 75 minutes.
