A visiting cock pheasant descends the patio steps

I heard the very loud call of this male pheasant when sitting at my desk. I knew immediately that it might be following in the steps of the three hen pheasants that have been visiting this springtime.

I poked my head out of the window saw the pheasant and grabbed my camera with a zoom lens. I just managed to catch it descending down the steps from the patio towards the bottom if the garden. It is rather magnificent.
