St Mary’s, Thurnham

This old Church is very little used, the local canon wanted to close it but parishioners prevented this. The church dates from the 12th century with alterations made up to the early 17th century. There’s much work that needs to be done especially on the roof where there are gaps in the tiles.

It was a fairly quiet morning for me as I’d had a reoccurrence of arrhythmia yesterday while left me rather listless today. So I spent the morning sowing some seeds and enjoying the sunshine in the conservatory.

By the afternoon the sun had disappeared, as it did yesterday, resulting in another dull and cold walk around the lanes north of Bearsted.
