Seagulls of Inverness (# 2)

I was in Inverness today and happened to notice a seagull typically sitting on top of one of the well known statues. I think seagulls have got so much character and deserve to be in quite a few photos. See an earlier entry of mine for a similar subject matter:https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2816095275800595211

The statue here is of a Cameron Highlander, commemorating fallen soldiers from that regiment during campaigns in Egypt and Sudan at the end of the 19th Century. Note the sphinx sitting behind his feet. It stands in the middle of Station Square, right in front of the station entrance, so would be one of the first things a tourist arriving by train might see. This link gives a bit more detail about the statue and it's location: https://www.ambaile.org.uk/asset/13448/

Sad and annoying to think they knocked down the original station entrance and replaced it with the ugly (I think) 1960's entrance you see today.
